A 2-week camp provides additional time for your child to acclimate to the camp experience, connect with their cabin group and establish deeper relationships, spend more time with their staff leader who cares about them and will invest additional time in mentoring them, participate in more outdoor recreation, have less distraction from the outside world, and have more time to hear from God.

After one-week campers leave on Saturday morning, the two-week campers participate in supervised and staffed off-site activities on Saturday afternoon. Activities vary from year to year but examples include bowling, swimming, laser tag, movie, etc. All activities are covered in the registration cost. Sunday morning worship is Camp Church where our staff lead worship and a devotion. Before the next week's one-week campers arrive Sunday afternoon, two-week campers enjoy some time of relaxation, recreation and cabin group conversation after Sunday lunch.

Deer Run Camper Airport Shuttle Service

$75 each way for Camper Pick Up or Drop Off at BNA (Nashville International Airport). Deer Run staff provide and supervise this transportation. Choose this option during online registration.

Friend Request

We understand campers may desire to be together during their time at camp. We want all our campers to feel as comfortable as possible while also encouraging campers to make new friends. With that being said, we allow each camper 1 friend request for their time at camp. Both campers should have each other's names listed as their one friend request when submitting their online registration. Be sure to register at least 2 weeks before the camp start date to ensure your camper is placed with their friend.

Camper Mail

Parents are encouraged to send letters to your camper. However, we recommend that letters not mention how much you miss them.

You can get letters to your camper in two ways: 1) Give the letters to Deer Run staff at the check-in table, or 2) Mail letters to your camper during their week of camp. Mail no later than Wednesday so your camper will receive their letter while still at camp.

Summer Camp Nurses

A registered nurse or a doctor is needed during each summer camp session: day camps, overnight camps and an overnight mission camp.

Deer Run shows appreciation for a camp nurse’s time and professional skills by providing a barter that can be used for payment towards summer camps or family events at Deer Run.
