A SUMMER CAMP & RETREAT CENTER
ABOUT DEER RUN
Deer Run is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-denominational Christian ministry located on 100 private wooded acres of scenic, Tennessee rolling hills. We host homeschool day camps, family camps, married-couple romance weekends, father-son adventure weekends, mother-daughter weekends, and day/overnight summer camps near Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, and in Nashville. Alongside our camps, we operate as a year-round retreat center. Deer Run plans custom retreats for church & business groups alike. You can even host a Birthday Party with us or enjoy our Outdoor Education program for school age groups.
HISTORY OF DEER RUN
Founded in 1998 by David and Liz Gibson, Deer Run Camps & Retreats has been serving as a ministry for two decades now. After 15 years of marriage, while in their mid-30s, Dave and Liz believed God was calling them to do something more significant with their lives. After two years of prayer, it was confirmed that they should open a retreat center and summer camp ministry near Williamson County. While walking along the property on a Sunday morning in August 1996, God gave David a clear vision of His plan for the property that had been sitting dormant for more than 15 years. It is easy to feel the strong presence of God at Deer Run. During your time at Deer Run, you will experience a deep connection with others and with God, while you create long-lasting relationships on a deeper level. God changes lives. At Deer Run, you will truly experience the meaning behind our motto, “Deeper Faith. Greater Adventures.”
Deer Run greatly enjoys giving back by providing scholarships for camps and family events to children and families that are in need. We want to always guarantee that no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. Deer Run is a member of CCCA (Christian Camp & Conference Association).
Come enjoy traditional summer camp experiences for age 5 to completed grade 12: day camps, adventure day camps, preteen overnight camps, and youth overnight camps. And Family Camps for age 5 & up.
