David Gibson Recaps the
2017 Rider’s Rally Fundraising Event

Hello friends!

My name is David Gibson, I’m the founder and President of Deer Run Camps and Retreats. We’re a non-profit, non-denominational camp here in Thompson’s Station. And we provide life-changing summer camp experiences for kids here in our community. We expect about 3,000 kids, in fact, this summer.

One of the things that we do is that we provide scholarships for underprivileged kids who might not be able to come to camp any other way. One of the ways that we fund these scholarships is through our annual event, we call the Deer Run Riders Rally. This is an awesome, fun, family event. It will be on Saturday, September 30th.

If you’ve ridden with us before, we’ve made a few changes to the event this year. We’re gonna have check-in starting at 9 AM, and instead of doing one long ride, we’re gonna do two shorter rides. Or you have an option to ride morning or afternoon, or both. We’ll do about a 50-mile ride in the morning, coming back here into Deer Run around lunchtime, and we’ll have a great festivities with free lunch. We’ll have live music, we’ll have prizes and games, and just a lot of fellowship.

One of the things we’re really excited about this year is partnering with some of our local car clubs. We’re gonna be having a couple of guided rides for the car guys, as well as the crews in. So come out on Saturday, September 30th. Bring your car, and come and join us as we all get together just to raise money for kids in need.

After we finish the lunch and festivities, we’ll have a segment of rides for those who want more riding. And we’ll head out again on another guided route, about another 50 miles. This is a no-fee event, we just simply ask you to pray about bringing a donation that would help with the scholarship needs of these kids.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me. My number is (615) 566-0026, and we look forward to riding with you guys.

Hope to see you out at Deer Run real soon. Have a great day.
