DAY PASSES & OVERNIGHT STAYS

near Franklin, TN

START YOUR ADVENTURE!

Choose a Day Pass or Reserve Lodging Accommodations

Driving down the tree-covered road, you will find yourself exhaling (letting go of stresses) and breathing in excitement. A warm welcome awaits you and it doesn’t take long to call this valley “home.” You will experience lots of fun adventures, laughter, and memories at Deer Run’s 100 acres of beautiful scenic Tennessee woods!

Try out the 100-ft water slide into Spring Valley Lake. Play on the aqua park. Splash around in a Corcl boat or glide across the water in a canoe. And don’t forget your fishing pole! Play on the white sand beach or just relax in an Adirondack chair. An upper deck with tables provides a great viewing location or place to eat a picnic lunch or snacks.

Nearby at The Creekside Eatery you’ll find a great menu selection prepared by our top-notch chef. Our staff will gladly pack a picnic lunch for you to enjoy on the property or by the lake! If you’re craving sweets and snacks, stop by The Eatery for hand-dipped ice cream, pretzels, nachos and more or head over to The Camp Store for a variety of candy and snacks.

Both a Day Pass or Overnight Stay gives you unlimited access to Spring Valley Lake (water slide, aqua park, zip line, canoes, sand beach) and all Open Recreation areas where you can have even greater adventures: Wiffle Ball, Sand Volleyball, Gaga Ball, Carpet Ball, Human Foosball, Cornhole, and a Game Field for throwing a football, playing soccer, or flying a kite.

For added adventure, your family will enjoy the 800-ft valley Zip Lines, Giant Swing, Climbing Tower, Pedal Karts, or Archery & BBs Range. (These are scheduled activities and paid for separately.)

We look forward to welcoming you to Deer Run and serving you while you are here… as you enjoy recreation, relaxation, and renewal with your family and share some extraordinary memories together!

    Frequently Asked Questions

    ARE FACE MASKS REQUIRED?

Yes, per the governor’s and Williamson County mayor’s executive orders, a face covering is required in indoor public places and in outdoor public places where distancing is not possible. (Effective until 11:59 p.m. Aug 29, 2020) The order does not apply to those age 12 & under or those who cannot safely wear a mask due to breathing issues stemming from health-related causes. Remember, social distancing and wearing a face covering is your responsibility.

HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO OPEN FOR FAMILIES & FRIENDS BUT NOT SUMMER CAMPS?

Coming with your family or close friends allows you to stay together as a family unit and limit your interaction with others who are on site, like when you visit the zoo, rec center, church, or restaurant with your family and friends.
With summer camps, children from different families would have been in small groups together which did not allow for social distancing.
Social distancing is defined by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as “keeping a safe space between yourself and other people who are not from your household.” Many families also have close friends they feel comfortable being with, but continue to stay a safe distance apart when together. Family & Friend Adventures at Deer Run allows you to do this.

What do I need to bring to participate in adventure recreation?

    • For safety reasons, wear hiking boots OR sturdy closed-toe athletic shoes with a back strap. No open-toe shoes, flip flops, or sandals.
    • A face mask/covering is recommended since you are in close proximity to the facilitator: zip lines, giant swing, climbing tower, pedal karts, archery & BBs. Cooling fandanas (which can be dampened with water) are sold in The Camp Store and are a great facial covering especially for outdoors.

If we purchase a day pass, am I allowed to drop off my kids and come back later to pick them up?

No. Anyone on campus age 18 & under needs to be accompanied and supervised by a parent since the day passes are for “families” to enjoy having fun together. We do not have staff who are allowed to supervise kids.

How big and how deep is the lake?

The lake is approximately 3 acres and is approximately 18 feet deep at the deepest part by the dam in the swim area.

FUN FACT: Spring Valley Lake gets its name from the 5 natural springs that continually flow through the lake, so the water is continually being “renewed.” The scripture verse for the lake is Psalm 104:10, “You make springs flow in the valleys…”

MAY WE BRING OUR OWN KAYAKS TO USE AT THE LAKE?

Yes. You are responsible for storage of your kayak when not in use. We recommend not tying it to the lake dock since that is a public area for all guests.

Is there a day pass refund for inclement weather?

No, refunds are not given for inclement weather like rain or thunderstorms.

What are the per night fees on my overnight reservation?

Both a 9.75% TN Sales Tax and a 4% County Occupancy Tax are added per night to overnight accommodations.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELATION POLICY FOR OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS FOR FAMILIES?

Cancelations for overnight accommodations can be made up to 7 days in advance of your arrival date by emailing Contact@DeerRun.camp.
