Deer Run is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nondenominational Christian ministry.
The dynamics of the family — children, parents, marriages — are under tremendous pressure. Countless harmful and negative voices nag at us each day. Even those who have a strong support system and relationship with Christ face obstacles in their life and faith.
Deer Run Camps & Retreats fosters positive experiences and Christ-centered relationships so that kids, youth, and adults can pull away from the pressures of their daily lives. Visitors to the Valley will discover refreshment, renewal, and a bigger picture of life through Christ-driven transformation.
The love of Christ certainly shines bright when guests rest at Deer Run. By pausing the craziness of their normal routines, our guests find space to evaluate unhealthy patterns, uncover hope, and discover the incredible truth – that God loves them and has an amazing plan for their life. Each of us need a reset, and there’s no better reset than one found at camp or a retreat.
There is a unique encounter with God that comes only through being in nature and removing the distractions of daily life. During camp, many kids and youth deepen their understanding of God’s Word and their relationship with Him. Many campers even choose to accept Christ as their Savior, forever transforming their lives. Often, campers become passionate about making a difference in their schools, churches, or community. Some experience a calling to serve in full-time ministry, whether locally or internationally. Also, through family camps and events, marriages are restored or redeemed, and parent-child relationships are strengthened through Christ.
Deer Run envisions an exponentially growing impact on the community – one that inspires revival, equips students to be leaders, and encourages children and families to touch those around them with Christ-like love. Deer Run always aims to serve and glorify Christ and His Kingdom.
