Deer Run's Valley is Waiting for You
Encompassing 150 acres of beautiful private scenic wooded property in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee, Deer Run provides summer camps (day and overnight), day camps for school breaks, parent-child dates, and year-round customized retreats.
Everything about Deer Run has been designed and planned for you. As you enter the wooded property, you will find yourself exhaling slowly, unwinding, and breathing in the beauty of nature all around you. You’ll find us just 10 miles from historic downtown Franklin and less than 40 miles from Nashville.
Camps
Summer Camp
Campers participate in outdoor adventures, unplug from their electronics, and connect with each other. Although campers are tired at the end of day, they don’t want to leave.
Winter Camp
Extend your summer camp experience by coming to camp in the winter. Different weather, same amazing fun with new friends and new adventures planned specifically with your kids in mind!
Spring Break Camp
Looking for something fun that your kids can do for spring break? At Deer Run, your kids will participate in exciting outdoor adventures, unplug from their electronics, and connect with each other.
Family & Friends Events
Father-Son Adventure Weekend
This exceptional father-son weekend offers plenty of recreational choices, fun games and more which create life-time memories and a stronger bond.
Mother-Daughter Getaway Weekend
It’s easy for time to pass us by without having spent quality time with our daughters. This special weekend getaway helps you purposely have mother-daughter time together and connect on a deeper level.
Married Couples Romance Weekends
The weekend is designed to offer new insights and renewal to even the best marriages and relationships. The weekend gives you time away from everyday stress and schedules and provides time for you to focus on each other.
Daddy-Daughter Dates
For dads who have girls in the house, we have two special dates for some amazing memories, laughter, and a closer relationship with each other!
Mother-Son Dates
Deer Run’s Mother-Son Dates are a perfect opportunity to set aside the to-do list, the dinner prep, and the schoolwork to simply connect with your son through activities that will totally speak his language!
Customized Retreats
Accommodations
Your retreat planning begins with a variety of lodging choices for your group’s retreat: The Lodge, Timber Ridge Cabins, Lakeview Cabins, or Cedar Point Cabins.
Meeting Spaces
Meals, a meeting/worship space, and some recreation (see below) are included in your customized retreat package. Your Guest Relations Coordinator will determine the best meeting space for your group based on size and needs.

David and Liz Gibson founded Deer Run Camps & Retreats in 1998 as a ministry where campers, families, and the faith community could be immersed in the beauty of God’s Creation and could strengthen their relationships with each other and with Christ. Deer Run is a God-inspired, nonprofit, nondenominational ministry.
Deer Run’s team members are committed to excellence in property care, facilities, recreation, meals, and service. You will find that we are dedicated to ensuring a phenomenal and memorable experience while you are here.

Amazing space for our team to use! The staff was so friendly and helpful through our planning process and the trip itself. A really fun experience overall and one I will recommend to others.
This weekend gave us a chance to escape all the responsibilities and have an opportunity just to focus on each other and grow and learn together in a beautiful setting!
Our kids love this place! They look forward to coming here for a week of camp each year. Spiritual renewal and a great deal of fun for all of them!

Deer Run Camps
During June and July, “The Valley” comes alive with summer camps. Campers participate in outdoor adventures, unplug from their electronics, and connect with each other. Day and overnight campers, ages 5 to 16, discover their strengths, forge friendships, complete challenges, and create lifelong memories. Our priority is for camp staff to get to know each camper individually, listen to their heart, encourage them, and provide them with positive role models.
In addition to summer camps, Deer Run has programmed day camps during winter school holidays (January and February) and during spring break. These camps provide another opportunity for kids to enjoy the outdoors, disconnect from technology, and enjoy face-to-face relationships.
Family Adventures & Getaways at Deer Run
Throughout the year, Deer Run has purposeful camps and retreats for families to strengthen their relationships through fun activities and outdoor recreation. As you spend focused time with each other, your personal story of life-changing adventures deepens. Many call Deer Run “their place.” It’s their go-to away-from-home getaway for relaxing, building relationships, and enjoying time all together.
Parents and children can connect on a deeper level during the summer at Family Camp, and during the fall and winter at annual parent-child events: the Father-Son Adventure Weekend, Mother-Daughter Getaway Weekend, and Mother-Son and Daddy-Daughter Adventure Dates.
Married Couples Romance Weekends, which take place three times a year, are intimate retreats for a limited number of couples who are in all seasons of marriage, providing focused time together to experience renewal, refreshment, and recommitment.
Year-round Customized Retreats
We are open year-round for retreat guests. Deer Run’s guest relations team helps you customize the perfect retreat for your church, ministry, or leadership team. Deer Run offers a variety of accommodations and meeting facilities, exceptional team building opportunities, and an array of recreational options. Our staff are dedicated to ensuring a phenomenal and memorable experience.
